Welcome to Tag-it
This tool helps speed up the tagging process for urls within a portion of html. Please
follow these instructions:
- Copy your HTML and paste it into the input labelled 'Input .HTML'.
- Specify the utm_source in the input labelled 'Source'.
- Specify the utm_campaign in the input labelled 'Campaign'.
- If you wish to change the default list of aliases available then edit the file popup-menu.txt following
the format.
- Click the 'Load HTML For Tagging'. This loads the HTMLinto the page, highlights all the links with a
circular number and populates a list of corresponding icons giving you a quickreference of what links you
have tagged.
- Scroll down the page and move your cursor over the icon highlighting a link. When you do this a
dropdown will appear showing your list of aliases. Note that icons with blue background will not have any
Google Analytics codes added.
Note that icons with orange background already have an alias specified.
- Clickon the desired alias. When you do so the highlight for the link will turn green, so too will the
icon in the quick reference list (see 'URL List' near the top of the page).
- Once you have finished tagging the links click on 'Export Modified HTML'. This will populate the text
input labelled 'Output HTML'.
- Select the HTML and copy it to theclipboard.
- Paste the HTML into a text editor and save the file to your desired location.
